大理洋人街

在古城，大理洋人街原名“护国路”，意为民国初云南人民反对袁世凯称帝，起兵护国而得名。护国路东西走向，长1000米，宽7米，青石板铺面.为了适应开放旅游的需要，把大理古城定为开放旅游的主要景点，红山茶宾馆定为涉外宾馆，红山茶宾馆在古城护国路西段，由此，护国路便成为外国游客在大理的集散地。　　

中西风味店，珠宝店，古董店，扎染店，画廊各行各业随之兴起，铺面林立两侧，琳琅满目，目不暇接，成为中外有名的“大理洋人街”。
